Rooftop Tent Freight Shipping

Rooftop tents are shipped via freight and billed at a flat rate of $350 to the lower 48 states.

Some locations may incur higher freight charges due to limited carrier access or longer shipping lanes. In situations where the actual freight cost is significantly higher than the flat rate—whether due to your location or a change in warehouse routing—we'll contact you prior to fulfillment to confirm the updated cost.

If you choose not to proceed, no problem — we'll issue a full refund. This policy is in place to keep everything transparent and avoid unexpected surprises.

Freight Delivery & Damage Policy

We use heavy-duty packaging to protect rooftop tents during transit. While damage is rare, freight carriers often transfer shipments between multiple terminals, and accidents can happen.

To ensure you're protected in the event of shipping damage, it's important to follow these steps at the time of delivery:

  1. Be present when the shipment arrives.
  2. Inspect the packaging carefully before signing anything.
  3. If you see major visible damage (crushed corners, deep punctures, large tears that may affect the tent inside):
    • Take clear, detailed photos of the damage.
    • Refuse the delivery.
    • Have the driver clearly write “Refused due to damage” on the Bill of Lading (BOL).
    • Email us right away at support@inspiredoverland.com with the following:
        • Your order number
        • Photos of the damaged packaging
        • A photo of the BOL with the refusal noted

This documentation is required to file a claim with the carrier and get a replacement sent to you.

⚠️ If you accept the shipment without noting the damage or fail to provide documentation, we won't be able to file a claim or offer a refund or replacement.

Please inspect carefully — this protects you and ensures we can help you if anything goes wrong in transit.
